This project uses Python to code and design a retro based turn-by-turn role playing game.

Start Menu & Name Your Hero

The landing page serves as both a start and quit menu for the RPG game. This page also displays how something as simple as a # symbol can be used as a design element.

Hero & Enemy Stats

After the gammer names their hero, a character sheet modeled after paper D&D character sheets is displayed with the the player's basic info and game options. Once the battle option is chosen a versus menu displays which informs the player of the opponent, the enemy they will be facing, both of their health stats and given fight or flight options.

Play-By-Play

A turn based system is shown giving fight updates displaying damage taken. The code for what damage is inflicted and wither the target is hit or missed is done by a module that implements a random number generator. This way it is a surprise to the gammer of the outcome of the move.

Choose Your Fate

The choices of fight or run, and in future updates with weapon upgrades and magic spells as well as help or don't help will give the gamer a deeper playing experience and allow many more choices to effect the fate of their character.

Let There Be Code

This was one of my first code projects and I really enjoyed the creativity that it allowed. This is a project that I look forward to coming back to again and again in order to learn more about coding in Python as well as pushing the options and features in this command line, texted based RPG game.
